Seventy-five percent of MRI of Arizona’s patient population is insurance based clientele. The remaining twenty-five percent is based on personal injury claims. MRI of Arizona has built strong, ongoing relationships with major law firms in the metropolitan Phoenix area.

Insurance

Prior to collecting a patient’s co-insurance, most insurance companies require we bill them directly first.  Once the claim has been adjudicated by the insurance company and we have received a payment or explanation of benefits, we will forward any remaining balance, minus our contractual obligation to the patient.  In most instances, the remaining portion is relatively small.  Occasionally, a patient may have a “high” deductible and/or co-insurance and need to make financial arrangements with our billing department.  We encourage all patients to contact us with any questions regarding the payment of their claim and responsibility @ 602.294-9009.  

Some HMO insurance companies do not require any co-payment from the patient and others do require co-pay at the time of service.  Some of these HMO carriers list the amount of the co-pay on the front of the card under “Specialists” while others do not.  If we are aware that your HMO requires co-payment at the time of service and the amount is not listed on your card, our office will make every attempt to call your HMO to verify the amount of the co-pay.  The patient also is encouraged to call their own insurance company prior to the service and ask what the expected co-pay will be.
